The Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) credential and certificate programs are designed for professionals who specialize in the tax-exempt and governmental retirement plan markets.
TGPA Certificate
The Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Administration certificate program focuses on the administration and compliance requirements of 403(b), 457(b) and other plans maintained by tax-exempt and governmental entities. These issues include but are not limited to eligibility, vesting, contributions types and limits, nondiscrimination rules, allowable investments, contract exchanges, transfers and plan documents.

TGPC Credential
The Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) credential covers issues affecting the sales and marketing aspects of 403(b), 457(b) and other plans maintained by tax-exempt and governmental entities. These topics include but are not limited to contract exchanges and transfers, fiduciary standards, IRAs, investments, religious organization plans and top hat plans.
The TGPC credential is obtained by passing two examinations in addition to an experience or licensing requirement. The Source 403(b) & 457(b) Plans by Kristi Cook, J.D. and Eleanor Lowder serves as the primary study tool for the TGPC program. Webcourses and practice examinations are also available.
