Wanda Kemp has been in the retirement industry for 30 years as a pension administrator for an insurance agency, a bank trust office and for the past 16 years as a small business owner in third party administration.  As a TPA, she handles all phases of retirement planning, including plan design, asset accounting, compliance and filing of government forms.

Laura A. Carnes, QPA, QKA, ERPA is VP/Director of Operations at Pension Plan Professionals, Inc., a Jacksonville, FL based professional services organization which specializes in the design, establishment and administration of IRS-qualified employee retirement benefit plans. With over 10 years experience, Laura oversees the implementation, administration and ongoing qualification of all of the firm’s retirement plans including 401(k), defined benefit and ESOP programs. She is responsible for the management, direction and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to ensure compliance with government regulations. Laura has been a member of ASPPA since 2008 and a member of ABC of North Florida since 2009.

Mike joined J.P. Morgan in 2004.  He specializes in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting for employee benefits programs.  He has extensive experience working with pension plan sponsors to develop integrated asset-liability management strategies, comprehensive risk assessments, accounting and funding strategies, and PPA compliance initiatives.  He has substantial experience developing solutions for complex benefit plan administration projects.  He has been involved with several initiatives aimed at improving strategies individuals follow to prepare themselves financially for retirement.  He also has worked extensively in the development of processes for analyzing volatility and historical experience for stock-based compensation programs and was a contributing author towards CCH Accounting for Compensation Arrangements.

Mike holds an undergraduate degree in actuarial science from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Alabama. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Sue Hansen began her career doing administration for a small TPA in New Jersey.  She relocated to Jacksonville in 1993 to become a Support Technician for Pentabs.  In 1998, she moved into Quantech (now Relius Administration) Quality Assurance and joined ASPPA as a QPA.  She later served on the ABC of North Florida board in different capacities for several years.  Since 2006, Sue has been a Document Compliance Analyst with SunGard’s Document Management Services department, producing plan documents, amendments and annual participant notices for clients.

Suja Ranganathan, CPA, is a Senior Audit Manager at Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs. Formerly, an external auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers (P) Ltd., India, she has over 10 years of public and private accounting experience.  Her experience includes a variety of audit and assurance services for both public and private clients in industries which include manufacturing, construction, commodity exports, agri-business, information technology, professional services, non-profit organizations, and also employment benefit plans.  Suja is a CPA licensed in Georgia. Suja currently serves as a member on the United Way’s Volunteer Accounting Committee.
