How to Earn an ASPPA Credential

There are four easy steps to become an ASPPA credentialed member:

  Create an account with ASPPA.
If you do not have an online account set up with ASPPA please click here to set one up. Once you have created an account you will be able to register for examinations and order study materials. You do not need to be a member of ASPPA to create an account or take an ASPPA examination. However, there are many benefits to becoming an ASPPA member today while you pursue ASPPA credentials. Please visit ASPPA’s membership information page for more details.
  Order Study Materials.
You can order study materials online utilizing the ASPPA bookstore. You can also use the ASPPA Publications Order Form to order by fax or mail. ASPPA also provides supplemental learning tools such as webcourses, webcasts, and practice examinations to assist with preparing for exams.
  Register for Examinations.
Simply register for the examinations that are requirements for the ASPPA credential(s) (or certificate program) you are pursuing.
  Apply for the Credential.
After successfully completing the credential(s) examination requirements and meeting any experience or other requirements, you can apply for credentialed membership with ASPPA. Once you are awarded the credential, you will need to earn 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit including ethics every two-year cycle to maintain an active credential. If you currently are an ASPPA credentialed member you can also add an additional credential by completing all requirements for that credential and submitting an “additional credential/upgrade credential” application.
