As a new year begins, it is time to put away the holiday decorations and prepare for testing calendar year 401(k) plans. It is too late to change the HCE group or current/prior year testing method so you must look at other options. This fast paced, interactive webcast will review the testing techniques of disaggregation, shifting, recharacterization and the use of QNECs and QMACs. Examples of each will be given. This session will survey the particular administrative and legal issues with which plan sponsors and 403(b) vendors are still struggling from these changes and explore approaches to addressing them.

Come learn about what the IRS discovered about 401(k) plan design and the problem areas for compliance. Clearly, what the IRS learns from analyzing the questionnaire responses could be the basis for future audits.
